Privacy

Diaulos collects nothing.

Diaulos has no analytics, no accounts, and no ads. Its only network activity is checking for app updates, described below. There is nothing else to collect, so nothing is collected.

Your audio

Diaulos routes audio entirely on your Mac. The System Audio Recording permission macOS asks for is what lets Diaulos read the system mix in order to route it. Nothing is recorded, stored, or transmitted, and your microphone is never touched.

Your settings

Your device choices and preferences are stored locally in macOS user defaults on your Mac, and nowhere else.

Software updates

Diaulos checks for updates about once a day, and whenever you choose Check for Updates, by fetching a small XML file from updates.diaulos.app. The request contains no account, no identifier, and no information about your system; it is an anonymous file download, like loading a web page. If you approve an update, Diaulos downloads the new version from the same address and verifies its cryptographic signature before installing. Nothing is installed without your approval. The update server is hosted on Cloudflare, which may log requests to operate the service; see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details.

Purchases

Checkout for Diaulos is handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. When you order through them, Lemon Squeezy collects what it needs to process the order (your name, email address, and payment details) and shares your name and email with us so we can look up your order and help with support. We never see your payment details, and we don't share or sell your information. See Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy for how they handle your data.
